"Laguna Beach"

Judy Gubser has spent her life by the beautiful Southern California coast.  Her home on Balboa Island has the significance of being her studio as well as her family's home.  Surrounded by the familiar charm of island living, her love of the ocean and fresh outdoors inspired in her a passion for painting "en plein air"

Judy's works of art share with us her ability to create original and insightful imagery with both watercolors and oils.  Judy has attended many influential workshops and painted throughout the USA and western Europe.  She has studied under such renowned artists as Roger Armstrong, Christine Sullivan, Timothy Clark, Roland Hass, Ireland's famous James Flack and England's John Yardley.
Judy maintains active memberships in the California Art Club, the Southern California Plein Air association, the Mission Viejo Art Association and the Orange County Fine Arts group.  Judy is represented by the Watercolor Gallery in Laguna Beach, California. She has been in various shows, the latest being a solo show at Newport Beach City Hall.
