The essence of Barbara's style lies in her ability to share with the viewer, not only what she sees, but what she feels
when she discovers the subject of her painting. Her unique impressions are enjoyed by corporate and private clients
throughout the United States, Europe and Japan. Some of Barbara's favorite subjects are patios and gardens and our
local coastline. She enjoys working on location, and can be spotted along the ocean and amongst the cottages of Laguna
and Crystal Cove. Barbara's most recent series evokes the flavor of Tuscany and Provence.
A native Californian, Barbara
has been the recipient of many awards. She has lectured and given demonstrations in both oil and watercolor. She
currently teaches studio classes in watercolor and consults with several interior design groups. Until recently, Barbara
was the Director of the Cove Gallery for 12 years. Now she is showing exclusively at The WaterColor Gallery in the Art
Center.
Her goal is to instill, in her watercolors, the joy and stirrings of emotion she feels when she has found the perfect subject...and
the sheer fun of painting it!!
