Adele's
desire to create art started when she was a young girl, eventually earning her a scholarship to Pratt Institute in Brooklyn,
New York. After graduation with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree she worked in a design studio in Manhattan as a graphic
designer.
Moving to Michigan, Adele continued to study painting at the Society of Arts and Crafts in Detroit.
A couple of years later she moved to California. While raising three children she worked as a freelance graphic
designer. One of her most noteworthy commissions was designing the Claremont city seal.
Later Adele became
co-owner of a high quality print shop in the Claremont Village. During that time she designed a number of corporate
images, annual reports, brochures and books.
Now having retired from the print shop, she has relocated to Huntington
Beach where she has returned to her life-long love of painting. "Painting, to me, is truly the joie de vivre."
