Gunther Richter was born in 1949 and lives in Aix la Chapelle (Germany) and Brissago (Switzerland) on the Lago Maggiore.  "Landscapes in Pastels"...Developing from classical modern painting, Gunther Richter achieves a symbiosis of impression and realistic reproduction of landscapes.  He stresses the atmosphere and mood of the landscape by using the sensitive techniques of pastel and crayon painting.  Gunther has presented his work in various galleries in Europe (Cologne, Berlin, Locarno, Aix la Chapelle) and took part in the European Art Fair in Basel (Switzerland).  His landscape studies of the American West in 1994 have broadened the dimension of his vision...
